The Girl We Can't Help Staring at...
Introducing the puppy girl we absolutely adore out of two of our favorite silhouettes at Aces-Up: Tien (BISS/MOHBISS GCHB Aces-Up Live and Let Die) and Rain (Aces-Up Waiting For A Girl Like You).

Aces-Up I Caught You Lookin' aka Stormio
At 5 months of age, baby Stormio met her new friend, the Happy Legs. She didn't look too shabby the first time on it!
Oh My The Redheads!
Our very own two naughty redheads just passed their 8 weeks evaluation! We will grow them out a bit to see more of their potential! One boy and one girl, the perfect combo! Thanks so much Indica (OHBISS GCH Aces-Up She Will Take You To A Special Place) and Josh (GCH Big Benz Beyond The Edge aka Josh) for blessing us with this litter! Please exceed our expectations.
Prestigious Breeder Showcase Win!
For the first time ever we entered the Prestigious Breeder Showcase competition sponsored by Royal Canin during the Greeley show weekend. That being said this was the largest Breeder Showcase held in the last 10 years! It requires three entries from different litters, the first of which must be handled by the breeder. Presented by three of our finest, Tien and his two awesome kids, Quinn and Crimson, team Aces-Up won Reserve Best In Show only losing to the Frenchie breeder who also won RBIS at Westminster!

All three kids also did great at the Rocky Mountain Akita Club double specialties and all breed shows!
Welcome, Rain & Tien babies!
Keeping ourselves busy for two months without showing, we are so thrilled how our newest litter out of Rain and Tien turns out!

Out of five strong and healthy pups, two are lovely longcoats while two out of the rest passed our 8 week show potential puppy test. We are looking forward to watching them grow up a bit!
A Good Fight @ HOT Specialties, TX
The Heart of Texas Akita Club Specialty has been known as one of the largest and most competitive regional specialties for years. This year it welcomed an outstanding entry of 30 Akitas! The 12 specials included the National BOB winner, PreNational BOB winner, and a total of 7 BISS winners. The class dogs included the National BOW winner, National Best of Sweepstakes winner, National Grand Futurity winner, and quite a few Regional specialty winners. Most of the class entries already earned their major(s) and have excellent show records.

Although Quinn decided to blow coat the day before the trip and was bothered so much by Texas's allergy season this time, we were able to pull it off with both kiddos and brought home a few much appreciated trophies. Quinn took Select Dog and OH BISS, Crimson won back to back Reserve Winners Bitch and Best Bred By In Show.
The Sweeps @ Phoenix, AZ
After a long pause in showing for 6 months, team Aces-Up went back to the ring and smashed our goals with two beloved members. Over the 3 day showing, Quinn (BISS GCH Aces-Up You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet) took Best of Breed two days while Crimson (Aces-Up I'm Not Shy with Kyodai) took Best of Breed one day. They took BOS when not winning Best of Breed. Quinn also was awarded Owner Handled Group 2 all three days.
